The Writing Desk by Rachel Hauck–Book Review

After Tenley Roth writes a bestseller, she is challenged to write her next book. However, she is overcome with writer’s block. When her estranged mother asks her to come to Cocoa Beach to help her through her chemotherapy treatments, she thinks this may be what she needs to get her inspiration back. When Tenley arrives at her mother’s house she falls in love with an antique desk and gains inspiration from the desk. Little did Tenley know that years before Birdie Shehorn had sat at the same desk wanting two things, to be a published author and to marry for love. Will Tenley shake her writer’s block and find her inspiration? Will Birdie be able to go against her mother’s wishes and marry for love and finally get her name on a book?

This story was very intriguing. I fell in love with both Tenley and Birdie. It kept me wondering how each of their stories would end. I could not put the book down, and when I had to my !Ind kept wondering what was going to happen next. This is another amazing story by Rachel Hauck, and I highly recommend it. I love the way she writes two separate stories of women from two completely different ages and weaves them back together.

The Wedding Dress by Rachel Hauck–

Four women, one dress. It fit them all perfectly. When Charlotte Malone, a wedding dress salesperson, stumbled upon a trunk at the Ludlow auction little did she know that she would find a wedding dress inside, let alone a wedding dress that would change her life. Intrigued by the mystery of where the dress came from, and how it got in the trunk, Charlotte begins investigating. But will she hit a dead end, or will she finally find the secrets of the dress? Will she have her happily ever after?

This whole story reminded me of the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants movie. You know the story I’m sure, the group of girls take turns having the pants for a few weeks, and they fit each girl perfectly. However, this story is so much better! Each woman in this book has her own story of how she got the dress, and how it fit them each perfectly without any alterations! Stories of romance, and some tragedy. It brings all of them together to unravel the secret history of the dress Charlotte has found. I absolutely loved it.  This is the first book in the series that includes The Wedding Chapel and The Wedding Shop, so I read it out of order, and they can each stand alone. Brilliant, brilliant book! I highly recommend getting this one, and while your at it, get the whole series, because none of them will disappoint if you love a good romance!

The Wedding Shop by Rachel Hauck–book review

After her best friend Tammy dies, Haley Morgan dreams of opening the wedding shop in Heart’s Bend and carry on the legacy of Cora Scott. Is it just a dream she and her friend had as children, or can she make the dream become a reality and save the shop from becoming a parking lot. Fixing up the old shop to the city’s time table and specifications is the beginning of a beautiful journey of faith and love for Haley. Will she be able to accomplish her dream and maybe find true love on the way?

This book was another amazing read by Rachel Hauck. She has a way of writing the storyline and characters in such a relatable way that you feel like you know them. I was on the edge of my seat waiting to see what would happen next, how it would all come together. I loved it. If you love Christian romance then you need to check this one out.
