We all know stories of women in the Bible, and are familiar with the more popular ones. There’s so many lessons that can be gleaned from each one. In this book, Aaron and Elaina Sharp take the most important women in the Bible, and share their stories and then point you to their role in the bigger picture–God’s plan of redemption. They don’t just write about the popular ones like Sarah, Ruth, Esther, Mary, etc.; they also write about the more obscure or unpopular women suchas, Rahab, Zipporah, Bathsheba, the Woman Sinner. We can learn from each woman and the choices they made. Because just like we aren’t perfect, neither were the women mentioned in the Bible. They were human just like us, and despite their faults God chose to use them in some way.
I really enjoyed this study. I loved how it was laid out in 31 short chapters making it perfect for a devotional. I learned things I never knew before about women I’ve heard of, but may have just passed over before. Each chapter has a short synopsis of the woman’s story in the Bible, the passages where you can find her story, and her role in the plan of redemption. I love how at the end of each chapter there are questions for you to ponder. I loved each and every chapter, and I highly recommend it to all Christian women.
