This book is an early reader and is supposed to encourage reading, as well as teach children to be kind, honest and well behaved. It is all about a little fairy who grants wishes to good little children. There are two stories in this particular book. The first story shows a little girl who lost her ring in a beautiful garden, and Fairy Ella shows her a few rings that aren’t hers to see if the little girl is honest, and if she is, she gets a wish granted. The second story follows Ella as she searches a town for a child who is being good, and if they are a good boy or girl she will grant them a wish.
This was a cute book. My kids loved the beautiful pictures. They look just like the cover, like they’re hand drawn/painted, and very pretty. They loved the stories with the little fairy. My children love books and this one was no exception. For little children who love fairy tales and make believe this is a perfect story book with beautiful pictures! It’s hard for me to judge exactly what reading level to put this on since it’s recommended as an early reader. I would say maybe late first grade or second grade. Since I’m not an expert here’s a sample sentence from the book to give you an idea for your child:
“While resting she heard something, it was a sound of laughter.”
