Just a Kiss by Denise Hunter–Book Review

When Paige Warren’s best friend, Riley Callahan, comes back from Afghanistan as an amputee, she steps up to help her friend out and to help him through his recovery. What Paige doesn’t know is how Riley really feels for her. As her feelings begin to change, she begins to worry what it will do to their friendship. As Riley struggles to adjust he has all but given up on love, but can he suppress his feelings and stand the thought of Paige with another man? Will they be able to have their happily ever after?

After reading the Goodbye Bride, I was excited to read this next book. Although it is the next book in the series, it is written to stand alone, so while there are references to the other book, you won’t be missing anything important if you haven’t read the others in the series. As usual, the book was beautifully written. I finished in just a few days. I couldn’t make myself put it down! I wanted to find out what was going to happen to Paige and Riley. The characters were very well developed and were very relatable. I loved Paige’s character. I love how it shows how she came from such a rough past and  has turned out to be a wonderful woman because of God. I highly recommend this book!
