Do you ever feel overwhelmed as a mom? Feel like a failure? I’m going to be transparent for a minute with you. I feel that way A LOT! I feel like no matter what I do, it isn’t enough, or no matter how I approach my daughters, they still won’t listen. I feel like sometimes they don’t love me, because maybe I yelled that day. My poor husband has heard me cry on more than one occasion, that I feel like an awful wife and mother and feel like I’m failing at everything. (And he always tells me otherwise 🙂 ). When I saw this book, I was like, “Yes! I need to read this!” Ladies, we are not alone in these moments. It is not God who is giving us these thoughts! It is the enemy.
Becky Thompson is the author of the blog Scissortail SILK. If you haven’t heard of it before, I highly recommend checking it out. Everything I have read by her has always been amazing, and this book was no exception! I highly recommend it for every mom! It so chockfull of advice and encouragement from real experience, that I felt refreshed after every chapter. I thought several times as I was reading and highlighting things in the book, I need to buy this for every young mom I know! (If only I had the money to do that, I would!) So if you are reading this, and like me you need some encouragement, go grab the book, and READ it! You won’t be disappointed I promise!
