The Legend of the Christmas Cookie by Dandi Daley Mackall–Book Review

_240_360_Book_1735_coverHave you ever wondered who started the tradition of making Christmas cookies? Why do we make cookies for the holidays? This is a beautiful story that explains how the tradition started. It focuses on the true meaning of Christmas, Christ’s birth. It even includes the traditional recipe for Christmas cookies.

I loved this story. It is beautifully written and illustrated. I can’t wait to read it to my children at Christmastime. I am starting the new tradition of reading a new book every day of December up until Christmas. I plan on putting this on our reading list and then making the cookies from the recipe included that day. I highly recommend getting this book to read to your children this Christmas season.
