It’s the Fourth of July, and the Bear family is gearing up for a day full of festivities. The cubs have lots of questions about why they celebrate the Fourth of July and what exactly happened on that day many years ago, and Mama and Papa explain the significance and importance of the day to them.
Even though the Bear family is celebrating the founding of Bear Country, the story is just the same as our country’s founding. It teaches children the significance behind the Fourth of July, and how it’s not just a day we get to watch fireworks. I think it’s very important to teach our children the history of our country. I highly recommend the Berenstain Bears books to parents everywhere, and this book is just as great as the rest of them.
