As women we have a powerful influence on men in general, and we can therefore bring our husbands honor, or can bring them great shame. We need to make sure that as wives we have a positive influence on our husbands so they can be used by God. She points out the examples of Ruth, Esther and the virtuous woman as women we should strive to be like. I love how she describes the virtuous woman. According to Proverbs 31, a virtuous women is trusted by her husband; she is in God’s Word and is a faithful prayer warrior; she helps her husband and makes him her first priority; and finally she doesn’t criticize him. I want to be all of those things. I want to be a virtuous woman whose price is far above rubies. I don’t want to be a Jezebel or Delilah. I want to be an Esther, a Ruth and a virtuous woman. I love to study the women of the Bible and learn from them. I have a few examples of these precious virtuous women in my life, and I look to them as great examples of Godly women that I can learn from.
