Continuing the discussion on wisdom, Mrs. Pearl suggests that “instead of putting our husbands down when he wants to do something crazy, we should determine to allow God to direct and convict him, and then trust Him to do so.” We don’t always have the full picture of things, in fact none of us has the big picture. Only God can see the BIG big picture and knows how everything will turn out. Our husbands may have insight into a situation, that we may not see and to us may look crazy but later may find out to be the perfect choice. In the next chapter we’ll talk about the 3 types of men, and I’ll delve more into this later, but I used to really question my husband and his crazy ideas. (and there were and still are many!) I have since learned to let God convict my husband and lead him, even when I think he’s completely lost his mind, and let me tell you it has made a world of difference! When I back off from being my husband’s conscience and let God handle situations it’s a whole lot better for our marriage. I’m not perfect by any means and my husband and I still get into arguments and I’m still skeptical, but I’ve improved greatly from what I was almost 6 years ago when we first were married.
